The Problem

Most home networks weren't designed — they were defaulted.

One router doing too much

The device your ISP installed wasn't designed for 30+ connected devices, dead zones, or the demands of a modern home. It just came with your internet plan.

Everything on the same network

Your phone, your cameras, your kids' tablets — all on one flat network, all able to reach each other. That's not a security setup, it's a liability.

Hardware that works for your ISP, not you

Consumer routers report usage data, depend on manufacturer clouds, and rarely receive meaningful security updates. You pay for the internet; someone else benefits from your data.

What I Install

Professional infrastructure for homes that need more than a single router.

Structured Cabling

Cat6/Cat6A runs, patch panels, and wall jacks. A wired backbone that wireless builds on top of.

Wi-Fi Access Points

Enterprise-grade APs placed for full coverage and fast roaming. Every corner of your home, reliably covered.

Network Segmentation

VLANs that isolate IoT devices, guest networks, and personal devices from each other.

Local Cameras

Security cameras with on-site storage. No mandatory cloud subscription. Private remote viewing when you need it.

Firewalls & Switches

Purpose-built hardware for routing, switching, and traffic control — not a single box trying to do all three.

Ongoing Support

Optional remote monitoring, firmware updates, and configuration changes as your home evolves.

How I Approach It

01

Your network should be invisible.

Everything just works — Wi-Fi in every room, devices that connect instantly, no rebooting the router.

02

Devices access only what they need.

Cameras don't talk to laptops. IoT gear lives on its own segment. Guests get internet, not your network.

03

Local control over cloud dependency.

The network works if the cloud disappears. Your data doesn't leave unless you choose it to.

04

Built to last, not to be replaced.

Professional hardware with a multi-year lifespan. No planned obsolescence.

What Clients Say

"We went from constant buffering and dead zones to rock-solid Wi-Fi in every room — including the garage. Should have done this years ago."

Mark T.

Homeowner, Windermere

"Had propernet wire our new build during construction. Clean cable runs, ceiling-mounted APs, and everything just works from day one. No comparison to the mesh kit we had before."

Sarah & James K.

New Build, Beaumont

"Finally, our security cameras are on their own network and nothing depends on a cloud subscription. The setup is exactly what we asked for — private and reliable."

David L.

Homeowner, St. Albert

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with existing homes, or only new builds?
Both. New builds are ideal for running cables during construction, but most of my work is retrofitting existing homes with minimal disruption.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most residential installs take 1–2 days depending on the scope. A simple Wi-Fi upgrade might be a few hours; a full structured cabling job in a larger home could take longer.
What brands and equipment do you use?
I work with professional-grade equipment from brands like UniFi, TP-Link Omada, MikroTik, and others — chosen based on your needs and budget, not vendor lock-in.
How much does it cost?
Every home is different. A consultation is free, and I'll provide a detailed quote based on your specific setup. Most projects range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on scope.
Do you offer warranties or ongoing support?
All hardware comes with manufacturer warranties. I also offer optional ongoing support for remote monitoring, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
Will this work with my current internet provider?
Yes. The network infrastructure I install works with any ISP. You keep your internet plan — I replace the hardware that manages it inside your home.
